Favorite Disney Things ~ Dino-Sue

Favorite Disney Thing #42 - Dino-Sue - This Favorite may come as a bit of surprise to some of you. After all, most Animal Kingdom guests are in too much of a hurry to even notice her. Dino-Sue is an exact replica of the largest, most complete Tyrannosaurus Rex ever found since more than 90 percent of her bones have been accounted for. The real Dino Sue was discovered in the summer of 1990 by a paleontologist named Sue Hendrickson. She was 42 feet long, 14 feet tall and weighed seven tons making her the largest T-Rex ever discovered. Disney's Dino-Sue is on display in DinoLand U.S.A., at the entrance to DINOSAUR, a thrilling high-speed scary exciting attraction that sends guests back in time to the age of the dinosaurs.

I am not sure what it is about Dino-Sue that makes her so interesting to me. Maybe it's because she offers me a glimpse into our planet's pre-historic past or maybe it's just because she is so darn photogenic; either way, she is always a must-see for me on every visit! The next time you are in DinoLand U.S.A., be sure to stop by and say "Hello!" to my old pal Dino-Sue!
